The great naturalist and author John Muir once observed that, “Nature is ever at work building and pulling down, creating and destroying, keeping everything whirling and flowing, allowing no rest but in rhythmical motion, chasing everything in endless song out of one beautiful form into another.”
Most of us want life to be predictable and seek to gain some measure of control over results and outcomes. Muir helpfully notes that what we experience around us in nature reminds us how life truly unfolds, and it is rarely predictable or something that can be controlled. In fact, life (and beauty) is the opposite.
