Life Equations #16

We are often rattled by the mistakes that occur in our lives. The ones others make that affect us, or the ones we make. Because no one likes when plans go awry. No one enjoys when there is a mess to clean up at work or in our homes. When something doesn’t work out and we need to figure out a new way forward.

A common response to a mistake is stress and consternation. But this morning I came across a helpful approach author Ryan Holiday offers. He suggests we frame a mistake as “training.” That we choose to see how a mistake is an opportunity to learn, grow, and to try a new approach.

Our 17th Life Equation is Mistakes = Training.
