Life Equations #11

In The Lost Art of Finding our Way, John Edward Huth describes how “the horizon… is a boundary created by the curvature of the Earth and determines what you can see in the distance. If your eye is right at ground level, the nearest obstruction defines your horizon. The higher you go, the further you can see.”

Sometimes an obstacle points the way point. Sometimes an obstacle defines our horizon. But most of the time, if we step back and up (metaphorically), we can see beyond what awaits us after we pass through and beyond that obstacle.

Our 11th Life Equation is Vision = Height > Obstacles.

Meaning, as we increase our height over an obstacle our vision of the path forward becomes clearer.
