Maria Popova offers a great website called The Marginalian where she curates observations on the meaning of life from author, artists, philosophers.
She also creates works of art where she writes a poem over images of birds. You’ll find an example at on-emotions.com. This poem I came across yesterday from Popova and the intriguing invitation to “dive toward doubt.”
to be liberated
dive toward doubt
with great eagerness
given to being surprised
or remain ossified
a safe distance from alive
If we think about it, we often don’t know what to do with our doubts – ignore then? Review them? It’s fascinating to consider choosing to “dive” towards them with an “eagerness” that we will be “surprised” what happens next.
