The word “altar” typically refers to a place where we bring our offerings, sacrifices, and prayers. We approach such an altar more often than not during weekly religious services.
Yesterday, I came across the intriguing phrase “the altar of today.” Which made me reflect how each day provides the opportunity to bring offerings, sacrifices, and prayers before God. Each day invites us to acknowledge and to step towards the sacred. Each day can have an altar.
