“The instructions are in the living,” writes Mark Nepo. “Things we’re drawn to are merely the pieces of God unbreaking back together.” A journey, in other words, is not a destination. A game is not a result.
Many wisdom teachers have suggested it is in the living that life is revealed and not in our plans or within the result. What Nepo adds is the observation in the living we can come to “unbreak” parts of the world or our own lives.
