I came across a lovely quote by Lao Tzu last night: “wonder into wonder, existence opens.”
I’ve had quite a few conversations with people lately who feel numb. A path that can lead us back to feeling again is to notice the wonders that appear before us every day. It might sound like a cliché, but life continually offers us those experiences: from the gentle touch of a loved one to the taste of baklava; a maple tree leaf falling to a baby in a stroller waving as we pass by.
Lao Tzu reminds us each wonder leads us in the right direction, towards and into what it means and feels like to be alive.
