On our way back from a Central Park last night we happened upon a remarkable exhibit of art for sale called “Editions & Works on Paper” that offered maybe 200 pieces, from Andy Warhol to Joan Miro, Jasper Johns to Marc Chagall. It was like entering a secret museum. In the midst of these masterpieces, we came across a work by Yayoi Kusama called, “Infinity Nets.”
This image my wife and I have both loved. The idea being there are “nets” that span infinity and keep us from falling through life. At on-emotions.com you’ll find a close up of Kusama’s piece.
Although famous now, Kusama faced many challenges in her life and yet she perceived there was something that kept her from falling through space and time.
It was lovely to come across this work so unexpectedly last night, as well as a gentle reminder if we look closely we will find infinity nets that hold us and even bounce us back up into life.
