I continue to appreciate the insights of Seth Godin.
One I have been pondering lately is his advice every restaurant should have both a “boring salad” and a “fascinating salad.” The boring salad is, for example, the Caesar option on the menu. It’s typically safe and likely unremarkable.
But the “fascinating salad” is – as Godin writes – “a chance for the restaurant to bring surprise, delight and care to the person who orders it… it combines unexpected elements… and is worth what it costs… it demonstrates the passion of the person who produced it in a memorable, almost emotional way.”
What is on the menu of your life?
Does it have and offer “a fascinating salad?”
