I was on the subway recently and a homeless woman entered the car and gave each person a small piece of paper offering God’s blessing to the reader and asking for some help in the form of a single dollar.
I didn’t have any cash so I handed the piece of paper back with a quick smile. Then I noticed a young couple with a baby in a stroller searching for a dollar in their wallet. Then a man across from me, noticing the couple, did the same. This reminded me how generosity, like most emotions and actions, is contagious. All it takes is one person to set an example for others to follow.
P.S. I’m in Europe for the next two weeks and apologies, but posts will appear at different times throughout the day. As always, thanks for reading!
