On April 25th the New England Patriots have the third choice in the NFL draft. A question in these types of decisions is do you play it safe or not. The player chosen can impact a franchise for a decade in both a positive and negative way.
Christopher Gasper is a Boston Globe columnist and made this observation, “P.T. Barnum was credited as saying, ‘Comfort is the enemy of progress.’ If the new regime in New England…focuses more on not completely whiffing than on hitting a home run, then the search for a rightful heir to Tom Brady won’t end this April. Caution won’t cut it.”
There are times in our lives when caution needs to be a factor in the decisions that we make. There are also times when comfort is the enemy of progress.
