I was watching the documentary It All Begins with a Song last night and one of the featured songwriters, Caitlyn Smith, sang how Nashville can make or break a writer’s dreams and yet, as she put it, “I gave you my soul.”
It’s interesting to ask, to what or to whom do we give our soul?
Not our mind. Our energy. Our heart. Our grit. Our playfulness. Our creativity. Our emotions such as joy or fear. But… our soul.
