We heard a beep in our rental car after the light turned green.
Had I done something wrong, or was there a problem with the car. What was it? Then I saw the words “Leading Vehicle Driving Way” on the dashboard.
What is this, I wondered? Then it occurred to me this beep was for people on their phones so they’d be warned when the car in front of them had pulled away.
I thought at first, has it come to this? We are so distracted we need a beep to tell us the car in front of is pulling away.
But then it occurred to me, yes, sometimes we need a nudge to get going. The leading vehicle is driving away. A vehicle might be a competitor, opportunity, a dream we have, and if we want to keep up, we better get going.
