Surgeon General Vivek Murthy wrote in the New York Times a few months ago how our country is experiencing an “epidemic of loneliness.”
As a statistic, Murthy shared how, “At any moment about one out of every two Americans is experiencing measurable levels of loneliness.”
Which means if we’re feeling lonely, likely a neighbor feels the same way, or a co-worker, even the person we keep crossing paths with in the grocery store.
A simple way to feel better is to introduce yourself or begin a conversation with someone new every day.
In other words, we can all help each other level up and out of loneliness.
