Armored With Curiosity

I was having a conversation with someone regarding the deepest aspects of the human condition when she made the observation it was helpful to be “armored with curiosity.”

That’s interesting, isn’t it?

We often think of armor as something we put on to protect us, especially when we feel we are going into battle.

But another way to think of armor is not as something aligned with aggression, but with our engagement with the world.

Meaning, we can choose to put on inquisitiveness as to how nature, for example, majestically transforms itself every season; the difference in taste between a raspberry and strawberry, and why the sky is blue and a sunset crimson.

We all need something to protect us when life gets stressful and difficult. To make curiosity that layer is a fascinating option.
