What Partnerships Mirror

We were watching a beautiful swallowtail butterfly land on an orange and pink echinacea flower and marveled at nature’s elegance and wisdom. You’ll find a lovely photograph of the two at on-emotions.com

As you might know, when a butterfly lands on a flower, two things happen; it feeds itself by drawing out a flower’s nectar, while at the same time pollen attaches to the butterfly’s body that it will carry to another flower, which it will use it to create new flowers.

Butterflies and flowers need and help each other. They are partners.

All meaningful relationships, whether at work, at school, in our neighborhood, or in our families, mirror the butterfly and the flower – they are abiding partnerships offering that which will help the other to grow.
