Where it doesn’t matter is how you prepare for when it does.
Tim Ferriss hosts a podcast with millions of followers. He turned the best advice he received from over 200 “chess prodigies, movie stars, four-star generals, pro athletes, and hedge fund managers, etc” into a great book with a somewhat off-putting title, Tools of Titans.
In the book he describes how almost all the successful people he interviewed had a morning routine in a specific place where they could meditate, pray, and recharge; “where,” as Ferriss writes, “what you do doesn’t matter” so you can “focus better later when it does.”
Do you have that kind of place and routine in your life?
A place and time when you’re not “on,” or have to produce anything or impress anyone.
When what you do doesn’t matter to anyone but yourself.
That, Ferriss’ guests explained, was the key to their emotional, spiritual, physical, and professional success.
