Your Happiness Antenna

We were walking past a 1950s Chrysler Imperial when I noticed it had a radio antenna that a driver could extend by pulling it up. This is sometimes called a telescoping antenna. You’ll see a photo of it at on-emotions.com. Some cars still have antennas. Old cell phones used to have antennas.

How an antenna works is as electromagnetic waves pass over it, electrical currents are conveyed to what is called today the “head unit” which then sends audio signals to speakers.

You extend an antenna to better receive electromagnetic waves. To catch a 100 MHz wave, for example, you need approximately a ten-foot antenna.

We all have a happiness antenna inside of us, we just need to extend it.

Happiness is being transmitted all around us. It’s the sound of a dove calling to its mate as the sun rises. The laughter of a child on a swing in the park. The rhythm of rain against a window. The crackle of a vinyl record as the needle of a turntable falls into the groove.

So today, extend your happiness antenna as high as it will go and your “head unit” will experience all the signals of delight and joy transmitting around you.
